Turnover

« Back to Glossary Index

Estimate of the time interval needed to deplete a product’s inventory. In point-of-sale promotions, turnover is a determining factor because it conditions manufacturing: if the item is intended to have a long exposure life and high product turnover is expected, emphasis should be placed on the resistance of the material used in its manufacture to ensure that the item can fulfill its function throughout the established period. The use of more material or higher quality material will result in higher cost for the display.
